Dr. Wade Barker
Dr. Barker began his undergraduate studies at Southwest Texas State University and completed them at Eastern New Mexico University, where he graduated magna cum laude. After completing his medical education, internship, and general surgery residency at Texas Tech University School of Medicine, Dr. Barker began a private practice in 1996. In 2009, Dr. Barker co-founded Forest Park Medical Center, a full-service acute care hospital in Dallas/Ft. Worth. He is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and is affiliated with the American Medical Association, Texas Medical Association, Dallas County Medical Association, and the American Bariatric Society. He is also a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and completed a preceptorship sponsored by the American Society for Metabloic and Bariatric Surgery.
Dr. Wade Barker is one of a select few surgeons to perform both the LAP-BAND procedure Gastric Bypass (Roux-en-Y). He also holds privileges at several local hospitals including: Doctors Hospital, Pinecreek Medical Center, and Forest Park Medical Center.
