Wade Barker, MD, FACS
Dr. Barker is a highly regarded weight-loss surgeon and has helped patients achieve dramatic weight-loss results for more than 15 years. He is one of a select group of bariatric surgeons who perform all five bariatric procedures. Dr. Barker is co-founder of Forest Park Medical Center a full-service acute care hospital. He also holds privileges at several hospitals in the DFW area including Doctors Hospital, Pinecreek Medical Center, and Presbyterian Dallas. Dr. Barker sees patients at his Dallas, Amarillo and Lubbock offices.
Dr. Barker graduated magma cum laude from Eastern New Mexico University. He then completed his medical degree and residency at Texas Tech University School of Medicine. Dr. Barker is a member of several professional organizations including the American Medical Association, the Texas Medical Association, the Dallas County Medical Association and the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. He is an SRC accredited surgeon associated with several bariatric centers of excellence. Dr. Barker also trains surgeons in laparoscopic bariatric procedures for Ethicon-Endo Surgery.
